Spanish Mediterranean

The focus of this Spanish Mediterranean home is its impressive outdoor living. As this property sits adjacent to a bayou, our homeowners were particularly concerned about mosquitoes and other critters that may want to make a home in their outdoor living area. To accommodate this, an expansive custom screen enclosure was constructed over the entire pool and outdoor living area to create a mosquito and critter free environment. Not an easy feat, but an extraordinarily rewarding one. The main loggia is complete with a summer kitchen and bar, cypress wood beams, reclaimed wood windows, and a state-of-the-art Fleetwood pocket door system leading into the living room. When the glass and aluminum door panels are retracted, the lines between indoor and outdoor living become completely blurred and the family is able to enjoy both spaces simultaneously. The outdoor living area has nine seating areas, including a dining area, a fire pit, and a secondary Ioggia with fireplace and doors to the master suite. The sweeping pool deck consists of imported Terra Cotta tile with hand-painted decorative tile on step risers and planter boxes. The expansive pool includes two spas with waterfall edges, tiled planter boxes with fountains, and floating stepping pads leading across the pool in two locations. We weren’t the only ones that think this home’s outdoor living takes the cake… so did the Greater Houston Builders Association, awarding it Best Custom Home Best Outdoor Living Space in 2017!
