Unveiling our Transitional Estate

Front elevation of a modern transitional estate featuring white stucco exterior, black rooflines, symmetrical massing, tall recessed entry, and large-format windows, reflecting clean lines, intentional simplicity, and family-focused design.

What an honor it was to build this wonderful growing family their dream home. From collaborating through the pre-construction phase to navigating the countless decisions that shape a fully custom build, their energy and excitement made the journey unforgettable. With four young kids, this was a particularly rewarding project for our team, knowing that we were creating the home that would mean so much to them for the rest of their lives.

With architecture by Patrick Berrios and interiors by designer Teri Pugh, this soft-modern home embraces clean lines, intentional simplicity, and a floor plan meant to foster connection. The hub of the home is the open-layout Kitchen and Living Room, which includes two integrated dining areas to maximize togetherness. Just off the Kitchen sits another hub of the home – the Fun Hub! The Game Room includes a lounge space, kitchenette, and golf simulator, while the Theater includes seating for all of the family’s friends and loved ones. Perhaps the most exciting area of the Fun Hub is the indoor basketball gym and exercise room.

Each section of the main living area and Fun Hub includes easy access to the Summer Kitchen and Covered Patio, featuring a mechanized screen that allows the spaces to stay pest-free all year. Just beyond the outdoor living space sits the expansive pool and pool deck that makes the most of their beautiful 4-acre property.

The modern transitional exterior showcases clean lines, white stucco with black trim, and large-format windows. Minimalist detailing, low-pitched rooflines, and integrated lighting give the home a strikingly modern transitional silhouette both day and night.

Inside, the design emphasizes openness, function, and most importantly, kid-friendly materials. From the luxury vinyl tile that resembles hardwood flooring to the porcelain tile and countertop materials throughout the home, both beauty AND durability were achieved. Expansive windows allow an abundance of natural light as well as uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. Thoughtful details like a two-story light-filled entry and a dramatic floating staircase add architectural drama without sacrificing livability and comfort.

What an extraordinary gift it was to build this home! Enjoy photos in the slideshows below.
